As a follow up to the Nitrogen Decision making workshop in August 2023, the Murray Plains Farmers Group is hosting a workshop at the Cambrai Sportsground to review the fertiliser decisions growers made and to plan Nitrogen management group activities for 2024.
The workshop will be facilitated by Tony Craddock from Pinion Advisory and is sponsored by GRDC’s RiskWi$e program.
Topics for discussion;
• What actions were taken in relation to nitrogen decisions following the August workshop and how did those decisions turn out?
• Review yield and protein data from focus paddocks, and calculate N Balances
• Review and interpret 0-10cm soil test results from 2023 focus paddocks
• Examine Yield ProphetTM results – how close were predictions?
• Identify focus paddocks for soil testing in 2024
